Description
At Managing Composites we’re looking for new talent to grow with us.
We’re on the lookout for a Stress Engineer ready to dive deep into the world of composites, and help us push the limits in automation, simulation, and intelligent design.
As part of our engineering crew, you’ll work at the intersection of software, hardware, and human talent. Your mission? Lead stress analysis, run simulations, and evaluate performance across complex systems and components. Your insights will unlock smarter designs and deliver trusted, innovative results to our partners.
This is a remote-first role, open to motivated individuals who thrive in a collaborative, multicultural environment. If you’re passionate about engineering and want to be part of a team that’s shaping the future: this is your moment.
Your Mission:
- Identify regulatory requirements and define compliance demonstration methods.
- Propose and implement calculation methods in accordance with best practices to accurately assess the structural behavior and performance of components and systems.
- Perform a wide range of calculation analyses, including both implicit (linear static, non-linear static, modal, fatigue…) and explicit (dynamic, crash…) for metallic and composite materials, utilizing analytical methods or creating and post-processing Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Utilize CAE packages, such as OptiStruct, Radioss, Abaqus/Standard, Abaqus/Explicit, LS-DYNA, and ANSYS, to conduct simulations and analyze stress distributions in complex engineering designs.
- Provide summaries of calculation results, interpreting and communicating findings and suggesting improvements to enhance the design and optimize structural performance.
- Help determine accurate boundary conditions and create meshes to ensure dependable stress analysis results.
We’d Love You to Have:
- Degree or master's in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- High level of English.
- A 3-year + experience in a similar role.
- Strong foundation in FEA principles with exposure to Implicit and Explicit Analysis.
- Familiarity with CAE packages such as Hypermesh, OptiStruct, Radioss and LS-DYNA.
- Good understanding of problem solving methodologies and stress analysis techniques.
- Basic knowledge of material characterization and material model selection for simulations.
- Experience with simulations of composite materials is a must.
- Learn and implement failure criteria to evaluate structural performance under different loading conditions.
- Perform critical post-processing analysis to interpret simulation results and present findings to the team.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
What’s in It for You:
- Flexible work arrangements: Work when and where you prefer.
- Ongoing technical and soft skills training to support your professional growth.
- Flexible compensation system.
- Health Insurance
- Gym access
- Mortgage advisor support.
- TaxDown services for tax optimization.
- 23 working days of annual leave, plus 14 Bank Holidays and December 24th and 31st.
- Focus on motivation and well-being: Various initiatives to support your happiness and satisfaction.
Extra Knowledge That Adds Value
- PhD would be highly valued.
- Hands-on experience in experimental testing (material characterization, model validation, crash tests…).
- Experience in passive safety simulations, being familiar with crash regulations for road vehicles.
- Experience in active safety simulations, including airbag and seat belt modelling.
- CFD knowledge would be valued.
